The Opportunity  

We have an opening for a Joint Venture Accountant in our US Finance team. This position is based in our Denver, Colorado office and reports to the Supervisor, JV & AP Accounting. This role will be responsible for our operated JIB activities, including property allocations, overhead, disputed charges, AR reconciliation and monitoring, and internal billable costs. The successful applicate will be detailed oriented, collaborative across the company, proficient in excel, and have a good knowledge of COPAS guidelines. You will be in contact with various internal and external stakeholders, so communication and interpersonal skills should be excellent.    

  

What You Will Do  

  • Operated joint interest billing activities, including property allocations, overhead, disputed charges, accounts receivable reconciliation and monitoring, and internal billable costs   

  • Monthly reconciliations   

  • Allocations and joint interest close processes   

   

The Requirements  

  • Minimum two years of experience in Oil and Gas accounting

  • High School Diploma required; Associates Degree preferred      

   

What You Bring 

  • A strong work ethic and good interpersonal skills   

  • Strong communication    

  • An affinity for the details   

  • A minimum of two years of experience in oil and gas accounting   

  • Working knowledge of sales and use tax  

  • Solid understanding of joint interest billing decks, allocations, and joint interest close processes   

  • Knowledge of COPAS guidelines   

  • Proficiency with Quorum, OpenInvoice, and EnergyLink
