Project Description

We are looking to launch a standardised offering of products and services at the Catapult, and as part of this the Service Delivery team is looking to align with this. The aim of these changes is to have a clear offering to the sector, increase the number of services we deliver and increase the impact delivered through these.

This project aims to conduct a comprehensive review and generate a recommendations report for Service Delivery at Catapult. The review will encompass services that have completed, in progress and pipeline services, as well as conversations with key stakeholders and alignment with the product and services offering. By collecting and analysing relevant data, stakeholder interviews and aligning with the products and services offering, the project will identify areas for growth and improvement.

Over the 8 weeks, we hope you will develop your skills and understanding in:

The SPINtern with the Service Delivery team’s support will undertake the following activities:

  • Conducting a review of past, current and planned Services at SAC. Including the use of data looking at duration, revenue, funding, surplus and follow on activities.

  • Engaging with stakeholders across different departments to gather insights, recommendations and future opportunities.

  • Developing a comprehensive report with findings and recommendations.

  • Presenting the report to key stakeholders.

The outcome of these activities will be as follows:

  • A detailed report highlighting the performance of service delivery at Catapult, with clear, actionable recommendations for growth and improvement with enhanced alignment between service delivery and our products and services.

    The successful applicant will have the following skills:

  • Information gathering/research/interviewing

  • Business report writing

  • Analysis of data

  • Commercialisation of work

  • Opportunity optimisation

  • Understanding of a complex organisation, funding streams and future ambitions

  • Project management tools and processes

Process details:

  • 8 weeks minimum fixed term contract to be agreed with successful candidate

  • 5 days holiday to be taken during the placement
