ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Community Manager to engage and nurture our Founders Pledge member base. Reporting to the Head of Community, this role will be responsible for building and maintaining meaningful relationships with our members, enhancing their engagement, and driving their philanthropic journey.

The Community Manager will play a crucial role in fostering a trusted and engaged community, ultimately increasing the effectiveness of our members' giving. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the broader organizational objectives of enhancing our members’ experience and maximizing social impact.

You will be responsible for:

  • Member Engagement and Stewardship: Develop and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of members based in New York to build trust and credibility. Secure engagement opportunities to understand member needs and enhance their giving journey.

  • Representation of Founders Pledge: Confidently communicate Founders Pledge’s offerings, services, and approach during one-on-one and group interactions, increasing member understanding and uptake of our resources.

  • Internal Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to bring together expertise and stakeholders that address member needs and feedback, enhancing their giving and engagement.

  • Events Hosting: Lead the event invitation strategy and host FP events, ensuring an excellent programmatic experience aligned with member interests and needs.

  • Member Data Management: Ensure all member records are up-to-date, providing a reliable and holistic view of each member for internal stakeholders.

  • Providing Member Insights: Contribute insights to FP products, communications, events, and strategy, supporting continuous improvement and innovation in our offerings.

ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in high-touch, one-to-one relationship management, ideally within a membership, philanthropic, or entrepreneurial community setting

  • Skilled at juggling multiple responsibilities with strong attention to detail and processes, ensuring smooth execution of community operation and member communications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.

  • Confidence in public speaking and representing an organization.

  • A collaborative mindset with experience working across teams.

  • Flexibility to travel and attend events as required.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Preferably based in San Francisco or New York, with a fair amount of travel required for events and member meetings.

All staff may also be required to attend team offsites once per year (or more), location TBC. Additionally, all staff may be required to attend a global offsite annually.
