Job Description

Community Manager

Part time or full time role

Tripple is looking for a Community Manager to join our team ahead of the opening of our new coworking and community hub in Richmond. We are looking for someone to help add the spice to this space, bringing a friendly face, buzz, playlists, and hosting events such as shared breakfasts or podcast club.

This person will be the heart and soul of our new workspace and community, located in Richmond, nurturing Tripple’s ecosystem of friends, collaborators, and other impact-focussed organisations. It’s for you if you love setting a tone of welcome, if you’re fun, organised and like keeping the vibes high.

About Tripple

Tripple is a 100% impact private investment company using capital as a force for good. We seek a better future for all and hope our team members share this passion and know that they are an important part of this mission. As of March 2021, we’re officially a B Corp and are proud to be part of a community of businesses doing things differently. You can find out more about Tripple at www.tripple.com.au

We work across impact investmenting and grant making, supporting a community of over 100 organisations. This space will be a home to some of the teams we support and will be open to our broader community of collaborators, peers, and friends who are pushing towards a just and sustainable world.

Some examples of work you will do:

Host with the most

  • Live and breathe the Tripple team values of being thoughtful, collaborative, inclusive and playful.

  • Develop ways to bring warmth, fun, welcome and other aspects of our values to the experience of the space, the community and guests

  • Bring your creativity to the space: curate playlists as resident DJ, make an artful display of flowers or clippings, and do whatever you feel is needed for good vibes eg. a jug of iced tea on a hot day

  • Provide a casual and fluid reception service to the space (not seated behind a desk), with a particular focus on welcoming those new to the space

Community management & Event coordination

  • Have a finger on the pulse of the community so we know what’s going on in their organisations

  • Respond to community queries and questions regarding day-to-day work, guest/visitor management, general use of the space

  • Develop and run a program of ‘house’ events and gatherings throughout the year in the space

  • Facilitate event bookings from others in the community, facilitating catering and AV requirements

  • Manage stock levels of key supplies eg. pantry, tea/coffee, stationery, tech, emergency kit

  • Manage key contractors to the office space eg. cleaners, gardeners, IT support, security.

Curating and welcoming the community

  • Promote the space to potential tenants, assess applications

  • Provide membership and desk leasing agreements

  • Onboard and set up new community members

Key Skills & Experience

  • Efficiency and multi-tasking. Ability to context-switch from an in-person conversation, to your inbox, from making note of a suggested improvement to our procedure, to introducing a couple of people you think would hit it off. You take this all in your stride and enjoy the variety.

  • Communicate efficiently. Whether 1:1 or one to many via an email marketing tool or Whatsapp group - you’ll know what the best channel is for an individual or group and manage this seamlessly

  • Thinking big and small. You love to be across the details and know that it’s the little things that make an interaction great. At the same time, you’re across the company’s broader goals and vision and the type of people and companies we want to be part of our community.

  • Ownership mentality and adaptability. No job is too small. Like all of us at Tripple, you're happy to roll up your sleeves, adapt quickly and do the task at hand. You are here to help and get involved in whatever the job throws at you.

  • Approachable, warm and comfortable talking to anyone in order to create a welcoming, fun and convivial atmosphere.

  • Hospitality mindset. You have a generosity of spirit and a close eye on ‘vibe’. You’re the kind of person who might offer to make a coffee for someone who is visiting for the first time, or skip a track on the playlist that doesn’t match the feeling you’re going for on that day.

The salary level for the role is $60,000 per annum plus superannuation (FTE with options for part time on a pro-rata basis).
