About the job:
As the Senior Volunteering Manager, you’ll be someone that can inspire people that you manage and wider staff in the team, and help lead key areas of our volunteering programme. You’ll be someone who sets high expectations for the people that you manage, ensuring that they deliver the best experience possible for our volunteers through quality programme delivery and outcomes. You’ll do this through empowering them to deliver whilst supporting their professional development and investing in their skills. This role will be responsible for some key department projects, setting expectations and targets with colleagues across the team, learning from our data, leading quality within our programme and looking to develop new ways of working.
Main tasks:
Support and manage staff that you are directly responsible for, ensuring they are supported in their role, learning and development needs me and they are delivering a high quality experience for volunteers
Providing leadership and indirect reports within the department to inspire them to deliver our vision for volunteering.
Manage programmes within our volunteering portfolio to ensure they meet their aims and realise the benefits of our work including our work with younger volunteers, engagement with NHS staff and our reporting and data activities .
