Job Description
About the PRI
The PRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment. It works to understand the investment implications of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors and to support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions.
The PRI’s three distinct capabilities relate to the core elements of the PRI’s approach to achieving a sustainable financial system.
Translate RI (Responsible Investment) thought leadership into insights and practical support that is tailored to what signatories need to progress their RI practice
Convene our vast network to create opportunities for collaborative action
Harness our global scale to influence policymakers and regulators to effect system change
Job Description
This role sits within the PRI’s Guidance team, which supports signatories’ incorporation of responsible investment in their investment processes, through a programme of guidance, investor education, webinars, podcasts and other forms of content. You will work with signatories, internal teams and other groups to deliver that programme.
The role will largely involve working with signatories focused on fixed income. However, there will also be the opportunity to gain experience working on programmes across other asset classes, namely listed equities, and with institutional asset owners.
The successful candidate will join a team that plays a core role in our engagement with and support for PRI signatories around the world, and that works on a diverse range of topics, from sustainability issues to areas of investor practice like investment decision-making and stewardship. The PRI provides an excellent environment for proactive individuals to grow professionally, by learning from leading practitioners and working in an organisation at the frontline of new industry developments. You will be working alongside internal and external topic experts.
The environment is fast-moving, so we are looking for a dynamic individual who is interested in being at the centre of work programmes – helping signatories respond to the challenges posed by, for example, climate change, nature and human rights. The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks, be proactive, and possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Engage proactively with other internal teams – for example, our Issues and Reporting and Assessment teams – to ensure that key learnings from their work are accurately reflected in the Guidance team’s content, and vice versa.
Support the Fixed Income team and other asset class leads in ensuring that guidance is communicated effectively to both external and internal audiences; support ad-hoc questions from signatories.
Run advisory committees, including setting up agendas, preparing minutes and ensuring timely follow ups.
Organise external events (such as roundtables, webinars and panel sessions), including managing the communication with speakers, preparing content and ensuring timely follow ups.
Person Specification
Demonstrable experience or understanding of responsible investment and financial markets, ideally with experience in Fixed Income. This could be from a range of sources, such as roles with asset managers, asset owners or corporate entities; consulting experience working with such organisations; or research roles. You may also be able to evidence your knowledge and experience in other ways.
Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills; ability to structure, prepare and deliver well-written, logical outputs with limited guidance and editing, as written reports, Powerpoint presentations etc
Excellent analytical skills and experience of synthesising information to produce structured outputs.
A collaborative and consultative approach to working with others & committed to fostering an inclusive environment
Demonstrates a growth mindset, actively pursuing continuous professional and personal development
Proven ability to work independently and within a team.
Good project management skills.
Excellent networking, relationship management and interpersonal skills and experience of building strong and productive relationships

Language skills, other than English, are desirable
We particularly welcome candidates from under-represented groups, including Black, Asian, and other People of Colour, those with visible or non-visible disabilities, LGBTQ+ candidates and those who are neurodivergent.
The PRI is committed to offering flexibility to our employees, both formal (e.g. part-time work) and informal (e.g. a shift in hours to accommodate caring responsibilities). Please talk to us about how we could make this role flexible for you.
N.B. We reserve the right to close a vacancy before the closing date in the event of an overwhelming response or a change in business priorities.
