RCNi is looking for a Learning Content Editor to join it's Learning team.
Overall aims
This role is to support the RCNi Learning team in the delivery of high-quality content for our online platform. It will focus on editing, updating and/or repurposing content, as well as checking content prior to publication to ensure accuracy, consistency and relevancy so enhance the user journey. The post-holder will work closely with the RCNi Learning Editor and other RCNi staff but will also be required to work independently and take initiative in communicating and helping to resolve any issues related to content.
Specific aims
1. Assists the RCNi Learning Editor in editing and repurposing content for the RCNi Learning platform.
Checks, edits and proofreads learning modules to ensure quality of content and consistency of style.
Uses content management and online tracking systems to ensure consistency of project/module management and file naming conventions.
Uses Jira to track issues and project progress and manage the production process in conjunction with colleagues.
2. Under the guidance of RCNi Learning Editor, helps manage the team’s daily workload and so meet project deadlines.
Co-ordinates and manages his or her workload in line with project deadlines, identifies problems and seeks advice from more senior colleagues on how these should be resolved as required.
Monitors, tracks and reports to colleagues on the progress of learning modules through the production process.
3. Liaises with RCNi staff and our external platform provider and provides feedback as required to ensure the quality of the learning modules is maintained.
Liaises with staff at Impelsys, authors and reviewers and RCNi staff to identify problems as they arise and seek potential solutions.
In conjunction with the RCNi Learning Editor and administrative staff, assists with managing various stages of the production process, to include liaising with authors and reviewers, and checking and approving content as appropriate.
Undertakes any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as directed by the RCNi Learning Editor.
