Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Corporate Partnerships Officer to join our expanding Corporate Partnerships team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

 

We are looking for an experienced and highly proactive Corporate Partnerships Officer to support the Corporate Partnerships team. Working to grow and develop corporate fundraising opportunities at SSAFA, with a focus on stewardship and account management as well as supporting the Corporate Partnerships Manager in finding new opportunities.

 

About the role

 

The role focusses on account managing strategic corporate fundraising relationships and providing expert fundraising support throughout the portfolio. You will have the chance to work on a wide range of fundraising activities, and develop innovative engagement programmes which maximise income, giving you the opportunity to develop and utilise your account management and relationship building skills devising growth plans for partners with potential to give more. While also having the opportunity to assist in the research and development of new partnership pitches and proposals.

 

With a new management team in place, you will have the opportunity to collaboratively shape the role and the wider corporate fundraising strategy as the team continues to grow and develop.

 

About the team

 

We are a newly restructured corporate fundraising team, in line with a new fundraising strategy. This is a really exciting time to join our small but busy team and help support our ambitions for further growth and development in line with the organisational strategy.

 

Through regular team meetings and a variety of communication mediums, you will be provided with ongoing support, training and mentoring to help maximise your potential and the success of the role.

 

Requirements

 

We are looking for an exceptional candidate, who thrives on challenge. A determined, highly motivated individual, with account management experience in either the charity or corporate sector. A natural communicator with proven experience across multiple communication methods with the ability to inspire, engage and inform new and existing supporters.

 

Other essential skills:

  • Research skills with the ability to identify new opportunities and develop clear responses

  • Evidence of creative thinking and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record for collaborative working and building sustainable relationships at all levels

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
