  • As part of the Upper School administrative team, develop programs and policies to foster a positive school culture in and out of the classroom

  • Work closely with the Upper School Director, Upper School Counselor, and Associate Head & Academic Dean to support students academically

  • Partner with and advise faculty in supporting students’ social-emotional, behavioral, and academic needs

  • Oversee, organize, and chaperone student programming and events, during and after school hours

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years previous teaching experience required; prior administrative experience preferred

  • Strong affinity for students who learn differently and student advocacy

  • High demonstrated emotional intelligence and the ability to be both a leader and collaborator

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • The values of Friends education resonate with you. Previous experience in Friends education is not essential but is also a plus.

  • You have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice work.

Benefits

You’ll benefit from:

  • A competitive salary that is benchmarked against other independent schools in the region

  • A robust health insurance plan, including a school contribution that covers the employee cost and a portion of the cost for a partner and dependents.
