About the Role
W&P is looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to join their team and play a key role in marketing, ecommerce, and performance. This role will be extremely collaborative across internal teams and external vendors and agencies, playing a hands-on role in day to day performance marketing strategy and management.
This candidate has worked in a comparable role at another DTC ecommerce brand or at a performance media agency with hands-on experience executing in digital marketing channels, tracking data and results, and managing to KPIs. Strong data and mathematical skills are required to be successful in this role, along with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely. You love to use data to identify opportunities or validate hypotheses, and can identify “where to go” from there, and spend a lot of time thinking about the customer journey.
You will be responsible for ideation, execution, and analysis of performance marketing strategies, while in platform media execution (i.e. Facebook/Instagram Ads, Google Ads, and other core platforms) will be managed by agency partner(s). You will play a hands-on role in managing agency partners, owning weekly calls, feedback, recommendations, and testing strategies. For new channels and tests, you may play a more active role in execution along with ideation and analysis.
W&P/Very Great is based in NYC, but this position can be fully remote (US based). This role reports to the Director of Marketing at W&P.
Responsibilities
Lead day to day relationship with performance media agency, running weekly calls on behalf of brand and providing strategic feedback and recommendations along with facilitating requests from agency for creative, copy, and budget updates
Also responsible for helping agency manage to goals, and identifying specific KPIs that ladder up to company revenue goals
Provide strategic analysis and recommendations for marketing channels and website to internal teams (i.e. creative, web) and external agency partners and vendors
Own day to day management of key marketing vendors and partners on behalf of brand
Work with Very Great’s internal data team to more deeply integrate data into marketing and decision making
Collaborate with brand marketing team to provide data-driven feedback and strategic guidance on website and paid marketing content
Work with teams to define, execute, and analyze marketing and website tests
Participate in forecasting, budgeting, and goal-setting processes with brand, growth, and finance teams, taking ownership of marketing channel forecasting
Proactively identify opportunities to diversify marketing mix and provide strategic and budget recommendations for new opportunities
About You
3-5 years experience in a performance, marketing, or heavily digital role at a DTC ecommerce brand or marketing agency
Minimum 2-3 years actively managing digital ad buying and serving tools including Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads/Youtube, Pinterest Ads, TikTok Ads, Snapchat Ads, programmatic display
Has worked with Google Analytics AND additional data tools (Looker preferred, or Tableau, Domo, Power BI or others)
Experience working alongside CRM and website managers; CRM (email/SMS) experience highly preferred but not required
Amazon or other marketplace/retailer experience a plus but not required
Keeps up to date with industry news and trends
Has strong opinions about the customer journey and uses that to guide channel planning, analysis/attribution, and recommendations
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Experience with Amazon or affiliate is highly preferred but not required
SEO experience (managing or advising) is highly preferred but not required
