ABOUT THE TEAM
The Special Events Team delivers a range of cross-organisational events, working closely with the Philanthropy, Corporate, Trusts & Foundations and Ambassador Relations teams. We are a small but ambitious team, tasked with raising £850,000 in income and delivering a successful stewardship strategy for donors. The events programme, therefore, contains a mix of high-value fundraising events, third-party partnerships and stewardship events.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Special Events Manager will be responsible for the management and delivery of a number of events within our annual programme, including gala dinners, the Soccer Aid high-value events and cause-focused stewardship events for donors.
This role will also take the lead on developing our third-party strategy and aim to position UNICEF UK as the beneficiary charity of choice for event organisers.
What we will expect you to achieve
Lead on developing UNICEF UK’s Third-Party Events strategy and grow the number of partnerships.
Research potential event partnerships and present proposals to new prospects.
Have overall responsibility for a number of stewardship events - managing the programme, budget, staffing, guestlist, speakers, performers and catering.
Lead the delivery of an income-generating event for major donors during Soccer Aid week.
Deliver specific areas of our Annual Blue Moon Gala, such as creative content, fundraising activity, budget, event production and guest communication.
Work with our Ambassador Relations Team to organise the attendance of Ambassadors and performers at events.
Work with our Legal Team to write partnership and supplier agreements.
Work with our Creative Team to create and produce branding materials for events
