About you
You have extensive experience and bring a range of skills based on a varied background managing complex issues in the people and HR space. You’re a true people person; passionate about making connections and helping people grow and develop. You are a skilled communicator with an eye for detail with the ability to see things from many perspectives. You love collaboration, accept feedback readily, and seek out others’ viewpoints. You have a passion for justice, equity, diversity and inclusion and are able to implement ways of working, policies and process through a JEDI lens. You thrive in an autonomous environment and are proactive and happy to get stuck in. You’re a clear communicator.
About The Role
The role has a broad scope and immense impact on The Sunrise Network’s people and culture. The People and Culture Lead will work to establish trusted partnerships with managers, leaders and colleagues and work closely with specific teams and countries to coach, advise and support managers on performance and organisational development. In addition a key part of the role is to share knowledge, expertise and work with other People and Culture leads to ensure a positive end-to-end employee experience across all people interactions, especially onboarding/offboarding, talent management, wellbeing, and culture.
Key Responsibilities
Enabling performance – advising teams and acting as a thought partner on performance management, workforce planning, succession planning and coaching leaders and managers to develop their people management skills.
JEDI and culture - work with teams in your areas to drive and embed the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion strategy being mindful of local diversity and cultural contexts.
Engagement and data: be across data, analysing trends for your teams including engagement, learning and complex employee relations issues. Work with managers and colleagues to influence and drive responses and action plans that support the employee experience, manage risk and demonstrate a culture of care.
People strategy - along with metrics and OKRs, for your areas of responsibility drive improvements across the people strategy including performance management, org design, employee engagement, communications, learning and development workforce planning, working closely with the People Director and Learning and Development Director.
Hiring: work with hiring managers and the hiring team on local recruitment, ensuring roles are appropriately designed, leading on job evaluations supporting salary decisions and coaching on the hiring and onboarding process, particularly for new managers.
Employee communications: Ensure key messages and updates are delivered locally and that colleagues in your team areas have a forum to provide feedback on key issues to inform our guidance, policies and process.
Remuneration and benefits: support managers and colleagues with local decision making around remuneration for their teams.
Organisational development - in partnership with the People Director to support local design and change projects
Compliance: work with people director to ensure oversight of required policy and compliance for relevant locations
Team management: Depending on location the role may involve management of colleagues in the people team
General HR advice and support as it arises based on Sunrise current policies and approach
