About Us
The Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) is a social purpose company that combines two approaches to improve people’s lives and communities. First, we use behavioural science (behavioural economics, social psychology) to design new policy ideas with our partners. Second, we run policy experiments, often using randomised controlled trials (RCTs), to determine the effectiveness of those ideas.
BIT is a trusted advisor to government departments and agencies, NGOs and other major funders in Singapore and throughout Asia.
About the role
The Business Support Officer will play a central role in the coordination of our new business and project management processes - making sure our proposals reach our new clients on time, our internal systems are up to date, and our projects run on budget.
Based in Singapore, but supporting a decentralised team, you will work closely with both our Advisor team and the Operations team. We currently have staff in Singapore, Australia and Indonesia, with plans for expansion into India soon. You will also have contact with staff in our London head office from time to time.
If you are the successful candidate you can expect to be assisting our Directors and Advisors by
Updating our internal systems with new business information
Coordinating internal meetings and workflows to ensure deadlines are met
Reviewing and then lodging proposals into a range of online procurement tools and systems (eg GeBiz for Singapore, but others for our International work)
Reviewing the performance of projects and looking for ways to improve
Keeping project budgets and resource plans up to date in our internal systems
Creating reports on project, proposals and business performance
About You
We are looking for someone who understands what we do, shares our values and is keen to learn and develop their expertise.

Intermediate skills in all MS Office programs; especially in MS Excel, as well as Google suite of programs (Gmail, Drive, Meet, Sheets & Docs)
Experience using project management and/or resourcing software applications
Comfortable learning and using new technology platforms
You will typically have this type of experience:
3-5 years of administration and/or business analysis, preferably in a small business or consulting or professional services firm
Experience in an international business environment, including work with international agencies, procurement and project management.
Experience working with a resource planning or finance / accounting / reporting systems desirable but not essential
