We are searching for a Business Development & Relationship Manager who is enthusiastic to work within our small but driven team. The Business Support team plays a key role in the charity, as the work with employers supports our whole operation, and creates safer work environments for whistleblowers.

We are looking for a self-starter, who uses their initiative to contribute great ideas and succeed with their sales.

The role is varied and will help you enhance your negotiation, persuasion, organisation and creative skills.

Purpose:

You will generate income for the charity by identifying and securing new business, and maintain strong relationships with existing members and clients in order to explore further business opportunities with them.

Key responsibilities:

  • Creating and converting a pipeline of potential members and consultancy clients, in order to hit sales target and achieve KPIs

  • Selling the charity’s services to inbound enquiries, resulting from marketing activity by the charity (eg webinars, SEO, social media and conferences)

  • Enhancing the relationship with and upselling services to existing clients through effective account management

  • Manage our training product range and activities (course development and improvement, consistency of materials and delivery)

  • Manage business development projects (including sector approaches, round tables, breakfast briefings)

  • Being attentive to current legal affairs, whistleblowing cases and commercial market trends to accurately inform sector and client approaches

  • Being a positive ambassador for the charity at national exhibitions, events and conferences

Required Experience & Skills

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in a similar role 

  • A proven track record of success in B2B sales 

  • Passionate about excellent client service

  • Ability to manage a varied workload with competing demands 

  • Commercially aware with good business acumen and financial awareness

  • Salesforce or similar CRM experience will be helpful 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
