Job Description

Do you have experience coordinating interviews and booking events? Are you interested in playing a key growth role within a friendly, international consultancy? If yes, apply now to join CIL as our Recruitment & People Coordinator.

About CIL

CIL is an international strategy consultancy that helps clients to grow their businesses, build value, and invest wisely.

Like all consulting firms, we are only as good as our people. To continue our strong growth (>15% per annum over the last five years), we are looking for a Recruitment & People Coordinator to support with recruiting European client-facing and operational staff members.

The role

Team structure and reporting lines

This role sits within the CIL HR team and reports into our Recruitment and People Manager. They would be supported by our US-based HR & Recruitment Administrator, with local recruitment support in both our Paris & Munich offices.

Recruitment responsibilities (75% of role):

  • European candidate management, including jobs portal ownership and interview scheduling.

  • Advertising open roles, including jobs postings and updating our website’s “Open roles” page.

  • Helping with assessing written applications.

  • Co-ordinating graduate recruitment events internally (insight days) and externally (careers fairs and presentations).

  • Ad-hoc holiday cover for our US-based HR & Recruitment Administrator.

HR responsibilities (25% of role):

  • Scheduling client-facing training sessions.

  • Managing freelancer bookings.

  • Approving holiday requests.

Office vs home working

It is expected that this role can involve a mixture of home and office working, although we think the successful candidate would probably benefit from more office time initially to help them get up the curve. We are open to the candidate being based in either our London or Frome office.

Working for CIL

We have two offices in the UK – one in London and one in Frome, near Bath. Our London office is based in the heart of The City near Bank / St Pauls, and within easy commuting distance of most parts of London. Our Frome office is located in beautiful Somerset and offers the same great career experience but from a base in the countryside. We also have offices in the USA (Chicago), France (Paris) and Germany (Munich).

What CIL people are like

We have a team of ~200 highly qualified, highly skilled people across our five offices. Successful CIL people share some key attributes:

  • Strong academic background.

  • A ‘growth mindset’ when it comes to problem solving.

  • Motivation and ambition, able to stand on their own two feet.

  • Strong team working and people skills.

  • Outstanding numeracy, written and verbal communication skills.

  • A keen sense of humour and broad shoulders.

  • Outstanding attention to detail.

Salary and benefits

  • Competitive base salary and participation in our generous company bonus scheme.

  • 25 days’ holiday entitlement with option to purchase five additional days each year.

  • Flexible working options.

  • Option to join company private healthcare scheme through Vitality.

  • Matched pension contributions of 5%.

  • Life assurance and long-term sick cover.

  • Enhanced parental leave & pay policies.

  • A fantastic company culture, with regular company events & socials.

We have strict qualification criteria for this role. These are:

  • Over four years’ experience in a relevant role. This could include:

    • An Executive Assistant role.

    • A Recruitment Coordinator role.

    • A Senior Administrator role.

  • Outstanding attention to detail and proofing skills.

  • Fantastic candidate management skills, including experience delivering difficult news.

  • Experience coordinating multiple processes at once.

  • Competent Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Completely fluent written and spoken English – other languages an advantage.

We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply. CIL commits to creating and maintaining a culture where every employee feels included and respected; to countering discrimination through our recruitment and training processes and our interaction with other stakeholders; and to celebrating the diverse contributions of all our employees and stakeholders.
