Historic England have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Safety and Risk Senior Specialist.
This is a Full Time, Permanent post, with hybrid working.
The location of this role is National where we offer hybrid working, you will be based in one of the following offices and from home - Newcastle, York, Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, and Bristol.
Salary
National - £39,590 pro rata

What you will be doing
As our Safety and Risk Senior Specialist, you will Lead on the development of the health, safety and fire risk management systems within Historic England (HE) helping ensure compliance, continual improvement and effective risk management. You will act as a subject matter expert providing specialist advice and training on health and safety risk management, maintaining the organisations web-based health and safety risk management software system and conducting periodic audits of health and safety practices. You will deputise for the Head of Health and Safety as necessary.
Who we are looking for
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar role
Experience of writing and developing concise and user-friendly health and safety, management policies and procedures
Experience providing health and safety guidance on small construction projects
Experience of the management of health
Experience of supporting managers undertaking health and safety risk assessments and developing safe systems of work
