Hours: 35 hours per week. Other flexible arrangements will be considered. Occasional evening and weekend working will be required around the key campaign delivery periods.
Disclosure Level: Basic. This role involves no direct work with children .

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Soccer Aid Team is a project team that brings together key specialisms from across the organisation to deliver Soccer Aid for UNICEF. The multi-functional team works with departments across UNICEF UK and stakeholders at ITV, Initial and Soccer Aid Productions* to deliver UNICEF UK’s biggest public fundraising campaign to help give children the best possible start in life.
*UNICEF UK has partnered with Triple S Sports and Entertainment Group to create Soccer Aid Productions Ltd (SAP Ltd) to deliver the commercial elements of the campaign.
ABOUT SOCCER AID FOR UNICEF
Soccer Aid for UNICEF brings together two teams of celebrities and football legends from England and the World XI FC for the biggest celebrity football match in the calendar, broadcast live on ITV. The event started in 2006 taking place every two years and since 2018 has taken place annually. Since its inception, Soccer Aid has raised more than £90million for UNICEF UK, helping to protect the right to play for every child worldwide.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Fundraising Manager will work closely with teams across UNICEF UK and Soccer Aid Productions to oversee the delivery of our off-air* fundraising strategy. This includes the development and delivery of public and schools fundraising, auctions and prize draws, and cross-organisational fundraising opportunities.
The role requires strong attention to detail and excellent project management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a collaborative role working with multiple colleagues to unlock fundraising opportunities and to deliver excellent supporter journeys, maximising income, and impact for children.
*Off-air fundraising includes multiple fundraising projects and initiatives which do not feature in the live broadcast of Soccer Aid for UNICEF enabling us to grow public fundraising through traditional community fundraising methods (schools, mass, grassroots).
What we will expect you to achieve:
Actively contribute to achieving the Soccer Aid strategy objectives of delivering more income, reach, and awareness, through the delivery of multiple fundraising activations and initiatives including schools, corporate and mass public engagement.
Management of internal stakeholders and working groups to ensure all aspects of fundraising activations and initiatives achieve their objectives, and are best in class. Teams include Compliance, Data, Supporter Care, Innovation Creative and Digital.
Create and manage key project documentation ensuring fundraising projects remain on track and are successfully delivered. This includes capturing relevant data, monitoring, and evaluating and identifying recommendations for future improvements.
Develop and implement marketing campaigns and supporter journeys which engage prospective and active fundraisers with fundraising campaigns and initiatives. Collaborate with the Marketing, Content and Digital teams to ensure all content supports in achieving fundraising objectives of driving income and engagement.
Finance management of projects including income and expenditure tracking, reforecasting, and processing invoices.
Collaborate with wider teams across UNICEF UK to unlock and deliver additional fundraising opportunities via Soccer Aid (e.g., Partnerships and Philanthropy).
Operational planning and delivery of identified fundraising activations during Soccer Aid Week, including players training week, stadium activations, and staff briefings.

Relevant experience
Experience of or demonstrable understanding of large-scale fundraising campaigns.
Experience of community fundraising and evidence of income generation.

Specific knowledge and skills
Specific knowledge of mass public-facing fundraising appeals or campaigns.
Understanding of Salesforce SRM beneficial.
Understanding of fundraising compliance and GDPR regulations.
