About the role

We are looking for an experienced PR Professional who will own the delivery of media campaigns which raise awareness of the services SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity provides for service personnel, veterans and their families as well as support key fundraising initiatives at both a regional and national level.

Central to the role is relationship management and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will already have strong, collaborative relationships with key national and regional media and will successfully build contacts throughout SSAFA, including our volunteer network, as well as other organisations across the military and wider- welfare charity sector.

While this role is based in our London office there will be the flexibility to work remotely.

We are looking for an innovative problem solver and exceptional self-starter who works well alone and as part of a team.

About SSAFA

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, has been providing lifelong support to our Forces and their families since 1885. In 2020, our teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 79,000 people in need, from Second World War veterans to young men and women who have served in more recent conflicts, and their families. SSAFA understands that behind every uniform is a person. And we are here for that person – any time they need us, in any way they need us, for as long as they need us.
