Job Description
Summary
We are the public body that looks after England`s historic environment. We champion historic places, helping people understand, value and care for them.
In this exciting role, you will support North East and Yorkshire Regions Leadership Team High Streets Heritage Action Zones (HSHAZ).
The HSHAZ programme aims to help local leaders implement bold new visions to transform their town centres and make them fit for the future. Each HSHAZ scheme is delivering a four-year programme of physical improvements, community engagement and cultural activities to revive England`s struggling historic high streets and town centres. The HSHAZ schemes are now in their fourth year of operation. Historic England is working closely with a variety of local partners, including local authorities, Business Improvement Districts, Chambers of Commerce, community groups and cultural organisations to deliver positive change; supporting high streets and town centres adapt to the challenges they face by investing in their local heritage.
National salary range:
£30,155 pro-rata
This is a part-time role and is offered as a fixed term contract, running until the end of June 2024.
What you will be doing
You will work with the North East and Yorkshire Regional Teams to support the development and implementation, on-going monitoring, and evaluation & review process for the programme for your Region, liaising regularly with both the HSHAZ Programme Manager and other Project Officers to ensure a consistent approach. You will also work alongside another HSHAZ Project Officers and will share information as needed.

- Able to build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships
