Launch Your Career in Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering
Whether you’re a graduate, a bootcamp completer, or early in your tech career, this programme is designed to accelerate your progression into one of the most in‑demand areas of enterprise IT.
Hays has partnered with Computacenter, one of Europe’s leading IT services organisations, to deliver a 24‑month Hire, Train, Deploy programme focused on developing the next generation of VMware Cloud Foundation engineers.
About the Programme
You will begin the programme with a one‑week induction at Hays, followed by fully funded instructor-led technical training delivered by a leading, authorised VMware training partner trusted by enterprise organisations worldwide.
Over the course of the 24-month programme, you’ll receive training aligned to real‑world customer environments, covering technologies that are in strong demand across the market.
Core training includes:
VMware Cloud Foundation
VMware Cloud Foundation Operations
VMware NSX (Security & Networking)
VMware vSAN (Storage)
Optional Training includes:
VMware vSphere Kubernetes Service
VMware Cloud Foundation Automation
VMware Avi Load Balancing
VMware Private AI Foundation with Nvidia
Training is hands‑on and lab‑based, designed to equip you with the skills needed to deliver live project work within Computacenter’s engineering teams, supported by ongoing mentoring and certification.
Location & Deployment
During the 24-month programme you’ll be deployed into Computacenter’s engineering teams, working on customer project cycles. Project work is driven by client needs and may involve travel to customer locations across the UK, so you’ll need to be fully mobile and flexible. Candidates must hold a valid UK driving licence or be willing to obtain one as part of the programme.
By the end of the programme, you’ll be operating confidently as a junior‑to‑mid‑level cloud and infrastructure engineer, able to work more independently while continuing to contribute within small, collaborative teams. You’ll be supported by highly marketable, industry‑recognised skills, with strong potential to move into a permanent role on completion of the programme.
