Job Description

At Unreasonable, we build community between entrepreneurs, institutions, and investors to profitably solve pressing global problems. We believe entrepreneurial-led businesses building rapidly scalable solutions are one of the greatest untapped resources for solving the significant social and environmental challenges of our time. Every day, our team strives to give the entrepreneurs we support the resources, relationships, capital and connections to help scale their impact. We do this by connecting them with our global community of mentors, investors, business leaders, and policymakers . Today, the over 300 CEO’s in the Unreasonable Fellowship have raised more than $6.6B in financing, generated more than $5.4B in revenue, and are measurably impacting the lives of more than 720 million individuals in nearly every country and territory worldwide. But we’re just getting started...

We are now searching for an Associate Project Manager to serve as a project lead with all internal teams on strategy, project management, and implementation of objectives. We’re looking for someone who will be a positive driving force that will lead the charge in elevating Unreasonable’s approach to project management and operational excellence. The Associate Project Manager will report to our Director of Account Management (Director) and work closely with the broader client/project management team. This is an exciting, multi-faceted role balancing a variety of dynamics, which will require the right individual to design and deliver high-level strategic objectives, processes and systems, resourcing plans, reporting, and a finely tuned collaborative approach that ensures we always deliver with excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This individual will serve as the project lead and primary point of contact for various internal initiatives, owning the relationship and delivery from development, implementation and ongoing monitoring.

    • Note: each internal engagement will differ based on needs of the company and scope of objectives.

    • Examples include but are not limited to: companywide and/or cross-team strategic plans, task force solution implementations, and workstream specific projects.

  • Support internal project development and implementation plan delivery

  • Retain and strengthen relationships across the organization for cross-collaborative work - developing new opportunities to work together and work towards/support the organization's strategic pillars.

  • Demonstrate stakeholder management skills, with clear and substantive speaking, writing and presentation skills

  • Under the guidance of the Director, lead on overall project management - working across all Unreasonable workstreams - to ensure that internal initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, determining optimal staffing assignments, and remaining within the Leadership Team’s directed obligations

  • Act as an advocate, champion for the company, translating needs and wants, understanding and aligning feasible outcomes with allocated resources and assets

  • Lead on reporting, working closely with various teams to deliver on the reporting needs as laid out by the project directive

  • Maintain and promote effective process and information flow between all parties by building org-wide tools and processes to project manage and execute on objectives; ensure these tools and processes fulfill the clear communication necessary to identify, align, reiterate, and track progress to deliver with excellence

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU ARE...

  • AN ORGANIZATION + PRIORITIZATION GURU // Completed or working towards completion of a project management certification. Obsessively organized and gifted at prioritizing to the nth degree - you not only like to make details look superficially clean, your approach to organization and prioritization is also strategic and effective to deliver on what’s most important.

  • A SYSTEMS + PROCESSES THINKER // Confident with building best-in-class systems and processes for project management - but love using them effectively even more.

  • AN EXPERT COMMUNICATOR // A detail-oriented, concise, and effective communicator that knows exactly what, how, when, and who to communicate to internally and externally at every level.

  • A COLLABORATIVE GYSHIDO-SAN // At least 2 years of project management experience that shows you are pathologically collaborative but also thrive on owning, delivering, and GYSHIDO-ing solo.

  • YOU SEE ALL // Experience in managing whole projects end to end - eager to manage teams across multiple work-streams with ease, grace and empathy.

  • ADAPTABLE // An agile and flexible team player who can adapt to changing circumstances and wear many hats - you’re able to read the room and organically flex into the appropriate role at the drop of a dime.

  • A RELATIONSHIP BUILDER // Remarkable at building deep and real relationships internally and externally at all levels, keenly aware of and sensitive to social and cultural differences, and easily maintain contact with an extensive network

  • A CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVER // Skilled at problem-solving, reading patterns, anticipating customers’ needs, analyzing trends, and positioning opportunities for greater impact and revenue generation - even when faced with adversity, you’re always thinking up new creative solutions and offering real help

  • A VALUES-DRIVEN LEADER // Grounded in the importance of listening, learning, humor, and genuine interest in seeing others shine but are also assertive and able to take charge of a situation when appropriate with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others. As you read about Unreasonable’s core values, you get more and more excited with each value you come across
