Junior Consultant (French speaker)
Good Business
- Closing: 11:59pm, 15th May 2022 BST
Job Description
Good Business is a market-leading sustainability agency, a certified B-Corporation and one of Escape the City’s Escape 100 Employers. We help businesses and brands succeed in the future by showing that they can make it a better place to be. We have over 20 years’ experience of working with clients to deliver sustainability, behaviour change and social impact, making us pioneers of the power of good.
We are looking for a French-speaking Junior Consultant to join our team based in our London office.
This is an exciting role for someone who wants to apply their skills to help businesses, brands, government and NGOs tackle some of the biggest social and environmental challenges of our time. How can we encourage young men to talk about their mental health issues? How do can we help a global online marketplace inspire and enable its sellers to think about and act on climate change? How do we persuade teenagers in sub-Saharan Africa that it is cool not to smoke?
Our clients, who include household names such as Virgin Media O2, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Aesop, NatWest Group, and Wellcome Trust, as well as social enterprises, charities, foundations, local authorities and start-ups, look to us to help them solve these challenges.
Our projects are exceptionally varied. You will be involved in client-focused assignments from the outset as a part of our entrepreneurial and lively team, taking increasing responsibility for your own projects over time. As part of this role, you will become the Market Lead for one of our behaviour change campaigns funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in West Africa, therefore fluency in French is an essential skill for this role. To find out more about the campaign, please click here and here. You will also support some of our other clients projects, which may involve analysing survey data about global attitudes towards antibiotic use, tracking the latest trends in digital wellbeing, developing a programme to attract more diverse candidates to a major bank, or determining how to minimise single-use plastics within the food delivery sector.
All of our projects are tailored to our clients’ needs, so although every assignment is different, you will develop skills that will apply to a range of projects. You will be a strong communicator, enjoy analysing problems, solving them collaboratively and creatively, and then putting solutions into practice.
We have a relaxed and collaborative office culture and, although our outputs are very professional, our structure and approach is far from corporate or conventional. Our team is passionate, thoughtful and opinionated, with experience from a variety of industries, such as advertising, hospitality, public sector, non-profit and research. We provide benefits and flexible support to help you be your best self at work. Some of our perks include enhanced parental leave, private medical insurance with Vitality (taxable), 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays and days between Christmas and New Year when the office closes), 6% pension contribution, twice-annual coaching with an external coach, and two volunteering or learning “Good Days”.
We are looking for someone who:
has a proven interest in business, international development and social and environmental issues
has strong written, verbal, analytical and communication skills
is fluent in verbal and written French and English
has strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
is fully competent in MS Office applications including MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel
is cheerful, flexible and adaptable
Salary: £24,000 - £26,500 plus benefits, depending on experience.
To apply, please complete the skills-based assessment on the BeApplied platform by 15th May 2022 at 11pm. Each task is randomised and blind-assessed, and reflect a specific skill that we are looking for as part of this role. Please note that if there is a large number of applications, we may opt to screen candidates by prioritising the French task in the first instance. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview w/c 23rd May 2022. These dates are subject to change.
We want to make sure that everyone who wants to apply for this role is able to do so. Please inform us of any adjustments you may require in order to participate fully in our recruitment process. You can contact us using ashleigh@good.business to notify us of any needs relating to the application process, and any information you provide will be kept strictly confidential.
