Scope

• Review the technical (spelling and grammar, Oak style guide, etc.) elements of full curriculum packages (lessons, quizzes, etc), as they are developed, working to a quick turnaround.

• Keep the Quality Assurance Manager and relevant Subject Leads up-to-date with changes required, and work towards actioning those changes.

• Work with the QA Manager, Subject Lead and other Oak colleagues, to ensure consistency of approach, and both compliance and quality are in place throughout.

• Work towards tight deadlines to ensure the production and release of digital education content in line with Oak timelines. 

Knowledge, skills and experience

General:

• Previous editorial experience is essential.

• Previous quality assurance experience, with an ability to review content at pace and meet tight deadlines.

• Excellent attention to detail, able to efficiently review and spot errors in content.

• Have a high standard of English, including punctuation and grammar.

• Competent working with and adapting to a variety of technologies - Oak is a tech-driven organisation, primarily using Google workspaces.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) would be beneficial but is not essential.

Rate: £20 per hour, with potential flexibility available for days and hours
Assignment period: late 2023 - July 2024
