Camden is listening to everyone, including you.

We’re giving a platform to people inside and outside our community. Because, we’re not just home to the UK’s fast-growing economy. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.

The Integrated Early Years Service (Camden Sure Start) has an ambitious vision for young children and families in the borough in which integrated universal and targeted services are developed and delivered through strong relationships between midwives, health visitors and GPs, early education providers, Job Centre Plus, primary schools, voluntary sector organisations and parents. Based on local need, services are delivered from children’s centres and across a network of community buildings, in five localities covering the whole of Camden.

You will be mainly based at one of Camden’s 5 community Children Centres hubs. Children Centers offer local families a broad range of services provided across a Camden Sure Start network of children’s centres, early education and childcare settings and other community buildings. This network has enabled an integrated approach to delivering support and responding to the breadth of families’ needs, such as health, housing, education and employment. The Children Centres offer is part of Camden’s Early Help services which focuses on making interventions at an early stage, once problems for children have begun but before they escalate. It involves taking a joined-up, multilevel, holistic approach to reduce the potential for poor longterm outcomes for children and their families.

We have an exciting opportunity for four experienced Deputy Manager’s to join our multi-disciplinary Integrated Family Support (FW) and Health Visiting (HV) Service. The successful candidate will lead and manage Family Workers (FWs), within a combined HV and FS team, maintaining a focus on high quality services, positive customer experience and better outcomes.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

About you

To be considered for one of these fantastic opportunities the successful candidate will have gained a relevant qualification in either Social Work or Early Years or possess substantial experience in a similar post including significant experience of managing a team delivering family support case work for families with children (pregnancy to age 5). The ideal candidate will have previous demonstrable experience of managing and delivering high quality family support, including for families with highly complex needs, challenging circumstances and especially for the most disadvantaged
