Purpose of the Role
We are seeking an Early Talent Advisor to work within our busy People Team. This is a new role created to support the attraction, development and retention of our Early Talent. The role is a hybrid role focussing primarily on recruitment and learning and development disciplines. You will work closely with the Early Talent Manager, Senior Early Talent Administrator and the broader People team to help deliver a strategic and professional proposition, attracting and recruiting high calibre individuals into the firm and supporting with their learning and development journey.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Operations
• Support the recruitment process for all those on early talent pathways (predominantly ACA and AAT)
• Support with the design and oversee structured internship programme
• Support with the design and oversee industrial placements
• Organise and attend Early Talent attraction events
• Support Early Talent Manager with salary review and promotion process for Early Talent population
• Support Early Talent candidates throughout contract with development and pastoral support
• Oversee the preparation and issue of appropriate contractual documentation in relation to appointments, terminations and variations of employment.
Learning & Development (L&D)
• Prepare and facilitate Early Talent Induction activities
• Prepare and facilitate professional skills training for Early Talent population including sessions on delegation and working with clients
• Build a strong relationship with the ICAEW to ensure we are ahead on trends
• Work with the Senior ET Administrator, Kaplan and the ICAEW to influence decisions around the study routes and exams (where possible)
• Broaden the tailored trainee development opportunities to include more professional skills options such as mentoring and coaching
• Help to streamline the local trainee training offerings and ensure more consistency across the offices (knowledge management/knowledge sharing)
• Utilise the Moore network to identify secondment opportunities to help with development and retention of trainees
Miscellaneous
• Manage adhoc Early Talent project work
• Support with workforce planning
• Report and track apprenticeship spend via digital apprenticeship service
• Support with the collation of strategic MI
• Keep up-to-date with L&D and recruitment trends and developments
• Knowledge share with other members of the internal L&D and recruitment community and wider People team
Skills and Experience
Essential
• Demonstrable experience in L&D and/or Early Talent recruitment
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills
• Strong excel skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
• Ability to build rapport with internal/external contacts at of all levels of hierarchy
• Takes ownership of their workload and development
Desirable
• Experience of working in a Partnership Firm
• CIPD accreditation
