Job Description

About DVFriends

Delaware Valley Friends School is a national leader educating bright students in grades 1-12 with reading, writing, and other related learning differences. The school attracts students from across the Philadelphia area and has recently completed an extensive campus expansion and renovation project. Students receive a comprehensive, research-based, college-preparatory curriculum, individualized instruction, cutting-edge assistive technologies, and successful college placement, with an emphasis on metacognition and self-advocacy within a community based on Quaker values.

About you and the role

The Digital Marketing Manager will join a collaborative and growth-minded advancement team and report directly to the Director of Marketing & Communications. The Digital Marketing Manager oversees DVFriends’ digital presence. This includes monitoring, generating, and posting content to the school’s social media platforms, updating the school’s website and online profiles, creating and managing digital advertising, and building relationships with other members of the DVFriends community to discover and showcase stories that reflect and connect with our existing and prospective audiences. The Digital Marketing Manager is an integral member of the school community, providing digital marketing support to the Admissions and Development offices as needed and being present and engaged in various aspects of campus life.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll do:

  • Partner with the Director of Marketing & Communications to shape and continuously evolve a forward-thinking digital marketing strategy – identifying new opportunities, testing emerging channels, and strengthening the school’s overall digital presence to drive growth and engagement

  • Build relationships with faculty, staff, administrators, and students to discover and develop story ideas for social media and other online marketing and communications platforms

  • Generate content that is engaging and compelling to our multiple online audiences, taking photographs and video at school events and happenings, and writing blurbs that showcase these experiences and are consistent with the DVFriends brand and key message points

  • Design, launch, manage, and continuously refine data-driven digital advertising campaigns on Facebook and Google – optimizing targeting, creative, and spend to maximize reach, engagement, and conversion

  • Ensure that the school’s website content is updated regularly

  • Carefully monitor the school’s online presence for engagement and any concerning or inappropriate activity

  • Use graphic design software to develop additional visuals for stories and collateral pieces as needed
