Job Description
Successful candidates for roles based in our 2 Marsham Street building must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is counter-terrorist check and the process can take up to 8 weeks to complete.

Please note that successful candidates will need to pass the CTC security checks – this requires you to have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years. Overview of area of work:An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to take forward innovative work to set up a new Arm's Length Body to oversee and deliver the work of the UK Holocaust Memorial Foundation. MHCLG is setting up a new organisation that will deliver the Holocaust Memorial and the on-going legacy work. The post-holder will: lead the cross-cutting work to establish the new body; work with and advise the team to oversee the appointment of its leaders; set up the right operating framework for the new organisation; and establish a partnership/sponsorship function from the Integration and Faith Division. The work is high-profile within the Department and across Whitehall and is of national and international interest.
Key Responsibilities:This role will provide the opportunity to work across government including Cabinet Office colleagues, Treasury. Ministerial Private Offices, Number Ten and senior leaders within MHCLG. The work will bring regular contact with Ministers, Private Offices, departmental partners and selection panels, as well as candidates for public appointments.
Leading analysis and research of business models and ensuring that the proposed model will meet the aims of Ministers;
Leading on collaborating with the Cabinet Office Public Bodies Reform Team and ensuring their expertise and input is well coordinated;
Developing/managing a forward programme of projects ensuring individual elements are managed and delivered efficiently and to schedule; and
Working collaboratively with stakeholders, such as Ministers, Private Office, ALBs, analysts, finance business partners, legal, leads, comms teams, clearly and succinctly communicating advice and requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including when under time pressure, to help build and maintain effective relationships. Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales and to deal with challenges.
An understanding of project management techniques.
