Job Description

Project Description:

The business is developing AI tools for materials and manufacturing selection for space applications. The project has to research and build a demonstration tool using MatLab where materials data and manufacturing capabilities combined to address a series of customer requirements.

- review internal AI research and approach

- take a customer product requirement and map scenarios for how materials and manufacturing innovation add value

- develop a demonstration tool for the space industry

Minimum requirements:

The candidate will likely either have or be on track for a good degree in Digital Manufacturing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science or a related degree. Minimum requirements would be they have finished their second year of the degree. They would be able to commute to our facility near Basingstoke. During interview we would also consider the following. We are looking for someone interested in Space manufacturing. We are developing new digital tools so having a methodical approach to working through problems would be an advantage. We are a relatively small team so fitting in to our team would also be required.

Process details:

  • 8 weeks minimum fixed term contract to be agreed with successful candidate

  • In-person Induction Event to be held, and an in-person/hybrid Showcase Event to be held later in the year.

  • Optional 5 days holiday can be taken during the placement
