ABOUT THE TEAM

The Ambassador Relations team works within the Communication Department which sits within the Public and Partnerships Engagement Directorate. We exist to empower and develop strong and diverse relationships with our stable of Ambassadors and High Profile Supporters to champion children’s rights and influence the public and those with power in the UK to create change for children. In addition we cultivate industry experts within the Music & Entertainment industries and manage our entire portfolio ensuring consistent delivery towards our engagement, fundraising and influencing goals.

Guided by the UNCRC we and our team of Ambassadors and High Profile Supporters are brave, smart, honest, hopeful advocates and communicators who amplify the voices of children and young people whilst raising funds for our programmes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Ambassador Relations Executive provides support for the Ambassador Relations team and the Head of Ambassador Relations. Your role will combine practical understanding of digital platforms and web-based tools,  an ability to ensure that the team’s admin systems and records are systematic and accurate, and that communications between team members and the wider organisation are maintained to a high standard.

You will maintain, support and develop systems and procedures to support the Ambassador Relations team. You will need to have good knowledge of social media channels, with the ability to support the collection and organisation of social media engagement metrics  to inform our future Ambassador Relations digital team strategies. You will have strong written and verbal skills to lead the production of external assets such as our webpages, e-newsletters and digital impact reports. You will have the ability to work efficiently and manage conflicting priorities. You will support managers and senior managers, in their stewarding of UNICEF UK’s stable of dedicated Ambassadors and their teams, to help facilitate many of their activities, and elevate the organisation’s brand on socials and when mobilising the public to act on child rights.

What we will expect you to achieve

  • Be our team’s digital lead; working closely with our Organic Social team and other internal teams, you will be able to work efficiently keeping our dedicated social media logs up to date to track our stable’s digital footprint and engagement across the year. You will monitor our impact and be able to identify trends from the sector.

  • Develop regular Ambassador led digital engagement impact reports and drive improvements.

  • Lead on developing our team’s digital stewardship tools, our dedicated web-pages and quarterly e-newsletters.

  • Create talent profiles and pitching documents to drive our prospecting plans alongside team members.

  • Be our team’s admin lead; developing and maintaining the team’s systems and processes, logging and tiering incoming requests, assisting with project managing specific planned deliverables.

  • Maintain accurately our Supporter Relationship Management (SRM) database in line with GDPR, using Salesforce where records of all related requests and campaigns are kept.

  • Be proficient in monitoring and managing the Ambassador Relations’ team use of:

    • Social media

    • SharePoint and Microsoft Teams

    • Microsoft Office suite

    • Adobe Express for design

    • SRM / CRM management tools (Salesforce)

    • WordPress

  • Administrative and logistics team lead responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, setting up meetings, preparing papers and agendas, taking and distributing minutes, liaising with service providers, facilitating our team’s activities.

  • Work with the Head of Team to manage the team budget and quarterly reforecasts; process suppliers’ invoices and facilitate other finance requests as required.

  • Support Ambassador Relations Managers with their relationships management plans, where necessary, maintaining high standards of programme Governance and creating our team’s annual internal evaluations.

  •  This role occasionally requires the post holder to work evenings or at weekends.

Relevant experience

Demonstrable experience of working in an office environment providing administrative and organisational support for a team- with a strong focus on digital tools and platforms.

Specific knowledge and skills

Managing supporter information using Salesforce ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Basic understanding of digital analytics and data protection (GDPR) is desirable.
