The role
We are looking for an experienced administrator with a keen eye for detail and high levels of organisational skills to support the delivery of Nesta Cymru’s communication and engagement work.
You will be expected to:
Provide a range of administrative and communications support for Nesta Cymru.
Be the first point of call for external contacts.
Support on coordination of elements of planning and evaluating Nesta Cymru communication activities e.g. audience research, external channel reviews, and monitoring and evaluation.
Horizon scanning - researching opportunities, events, stakeholders and communication channels to support Nesta Cymru’s work.
Helping to ensure content for Nesta's website is kept up to date
Building and creating new pages on the Nesta website including writing, editing and proofreading new content.
Helping to produce shareable content for our range of digital channels (including event video, and audio) - covering recording, editing and publishing
Arrange team meetings, workshops and roundtables - sorting logistics for remote meetings, booking rooms and resources, sending out papers, etc.
Support the delivery of high-quality and effective live and digital events for Nesta, including leading the planning and delivery of small-scale events
Update and maintain the contact management database.
Provide admin support to the Head of Nesta Cymru, supporting office management and coordination of cross-team activities.
The person
Skills
Essential
Administration - Successful track record of working in an administrative role in a fast-moving environment. Solid organisational, prioritisation and time management skills with the proven ability to coordinate and track multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrable experience of diary management, arranging meetings and minute taking.
Communication - Excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to be flexible in communications style for different audiences. Ability to support external communications activities, including web and event-based channels.
Relationships - Ability to easily build rapport and good working relationships with the team and wider stakeholders, demonstrating ambassadorial qualities.
A flexible approach to working both independently and as part of a team
Demonstrable experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, often with conflicting demands, to a successful conclusion
Writing and editorial ability, with proofreading skills
Desirable
Welsh Language - the ability to communicate fluently in Welsh is desirable but not essential.
What we offer
Salary: £16K-£23K part-time salary (£25.5k-£38.5k FTE)offers are expected to be made towards the bottom of the band) plus array of benefits, including private medical insurance, dental insurance, the ability to buy and sell annual leave, eyecare vouchers and more.
Location: This role is based in Cardiff, Wales - hybrid arrangement

Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week (0.6)
