Working with a wider team of external developers and designers, as well as the BSA team, you will lead the creation of BSA education resources, from conception through to final product. These could range from British Science Week activity packs, to new CREST Award activities or kit boxes.
Reporting to: Head of Education
Based at: Our Head Office is based in London, but we have an agile working policy enabling people to work at another UK location up to 4 days/week.
Requests for permanent remote working will be considered and we welcome applications from people based in other parts of the UK.
Terms: 0.5 FTE (17.5 hours per week), permanent.
Requests for flexible working will be considered
£33,100- £43,700 FTE per annum, (£16,550 - £21,850 pro-rata)
Key responsibilities:
•Overseeing creative/ideation workshops, including running focus groups with our ‘Engage’ teacher network to plan/test new resources.
•Inputting on funding bids for new resource work and reporting to funders.
•Developing project plans for each resource project and managing project budgets.
•Recruiting, training and overseeing a pool of freelance resource developers and delegating tasks to Education Officers where appropriate.
•Liaising with the CREST Product and Partnerships Manager to ensure resources are in line with the CREST product development strategy.
•Negotiating and overseeing contracts with suppliers.
•Liaising with the Communications and Development teams to ensure that funder and audience needs are met, and that resources are consistently high quality.
•Managing the CREST resource library.
In addition, the post-holder will be expected to:
•Work proactively and. collaboratively with the Education team and other BSA colleagues to set and achieve our goals.
•Support colleagues across the organisation especially at busy times or on specific areas of expertise.
•Other duties as reasonably required by line manager.
