Job Description

Can you create bold, inspiring content that boosts climate action in the UK and Global South?

We’re seeking someone who can use film and photography to tell stories about fantastic climate innovation. Your skills will help us to spotlight rainforest communities, green energy entrepreneurs, UK school students and many more climate heroes. Your work will show how they’re creating new jobs, better health, and all the other benefits of climate action.

Ashden helps climate pioneers achieve greater impact, and inspires funders, politicians and others to give them the backing they need. This means we’re looking for a producer that can work in partnership with others to deliver compelling, change-making stories. Ashden’s content drives live events, social media campaigns, news coverage, fundraising pitches and much more.

We believe powerful human stories are essential to tackling the climate crisis. So while our content covers national and global climate challenges, and often spotlights exciting new technologies, they’re always told through the lens of real people’s lives and ambitions.

We’ll need you to work inclusively, empowering and respecting those whose stories you tell. This includes helping us embed decolonisation more firmly in our processes and plans.

You’ll work hands on to deliver photography and video footage, as well as editing and other production roles. You’ll also commission and manage others in the UK and Global South to carry out these tasks.

Your work will include managing legal and rights issues related to content, as well as storing and organising material. And you’ll work closely with the rest of our communications team to help us plan well and make the best use of our content, in line with our strategic goals.

You’ll be based at our office in London Victoria, working from home as appropriate/agreed.

You must have the right to work in the UK.

If you have the creative flair and organisational skills to deliver brilliant content – as part of a friendly, supportive and dedicated team – please apply.

Interviews take place online on Monday 5 February and in person on Thursday 8 February. We are looking for someone to start on 19 February.
