BOP Consulting is an international consultancy specialising in culture and the creative economy. With offices in London and Birmingham, we deliver over 100 projects each year covering research and evaluation, strategy, buildings and placemaking.
BOP, in partnership with the Mayor of London's Culture & Creative Industries Unit at the GLA, also founded and convenes the World Cities Culture Forum (WCCF). WCCF is a network of over 35 cultural affairs departments and cultural sector leaders from cities around the globe collaborating on shared research and policy solutions.

The role of the Communications Manger at BOP Consulting.
This role will help us deliver and extend the reach of our major UK and international projects. Our clients include international agencies like UNESCO, city administrations, and cultural institutions. This role will help us deliver high quality, consistent, and engaging reports and communications.
The role will also help deliver the Communications objectives of the WCCF. The Communications Manager will (working with the GLA) help maximise the impact and reach of the World Cities Culture Forum events and projects and develop WCCF as a leading voice on cities and culture.
The Communications Manager role mixes hands on and strategic work. A small budget is available for the job holder to support delivery.
The Communications Manager will:
Working with the BOP Directors, develop a BOP communications plan. Ensure it is integrated with the communications strategy of the World Cities Culture Forum.
Deliver the WCCF External Communications Plan for 2021/22 including but not limited to: managing and developing all social media for projects; establish and manage communications leads in member cities to amplify WCCF’s work; update the WCCF website; write regular newsletters; ensure all communications adhere to WCCF style guidelines; deal with press inquiries and write press releases.
Work with the BOP senior team to ensure consistency and quality across our published reports and proposals, including copy-editing high-profile reports.
Work with the BOP team to generate original editorial and social media content (inc. monthly newsletter, and ad hoc white papers, videos, LinkedIn posts) in line our communications strategy.
Develop relationships with key media outlets, including pitching and producing content and the development of a distribution list.
Monitor SEO, SEM and website analytics, working with our company administrator, and taking action to improve SEO and SEM.
Working with our Operations Manager, support the delivery of a BOP website.
