Program Details

·       Start date: 28th October 2024

·       Locations: London / Manchester

·       Type: Full-time, 2-year fixed term contract, employed by Hays

·       Working Pattern: Hybrid (2-3 days in office each week)

·       Salary: £22,308 during training, with a rise to £27,500 after the 12-week training period

Your transformative journey:

  • First 12 weeks: The fully salaried Bootcamp phase is an intensive, full-time training program to gain the skills you need to thrive. Subject to demand, you will specialise in Cyber Security Analysis working with a Higher Education Institution.

You will be introduced to and begin onboarding with your Higher Education institute.

  • Deployment period: After the 12-week training period, you will have all you need to hit the ground running in your specific pathway as you start your placement with one of the Higher Education teams.

  • Beyond programme completion: Hays will support you in your next phase of your career whether it’s with your Higher Education institution or with another company.

Your journey is unique, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. We provide continuous support throughout the Academy with a skills coach and ongoing mentorship throughout the programme. You will also have a community of peers and access to experts in the field to help you succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Security Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor internal network activity, analyse alerts, and report unusual behaviour; perform risk assessments and collaborate with the team to mitigate vulnerabilities.

  • Policy Development and Guidance: Draft and update the information security policy suite; provide advice and guidance to business functions (sales, marketing, product, etc.) as needed.

  • Incident Response and Control Maintenance: Work with the Incident Response Team and Control Owners to design, implement, and maintain the organisation's controls.

Eligibility Criteria: 

No qualifications or experience. But you need to:

  • have lived in the UK for the last 3+ years and have the Right-to-work in the UK as defined by the funding rules for the Level 4 Business Analysis Apprenticeship.

  • pass BPSS (identity and right-to-work) checks during the application process.

  • have maths and English Level 2 qualifications to pass your Apprenticeship. If you do not already have them, you will be supported in taking them during the programme.

  • Located in or will be located in one of the following locations by the start date: London/ Manchester
