Job Description
This role is hybrid, working from home up to 3 days per week, with 2 days at our offices based in South East, London.
Job purpose
You will be responsible for processing outcomes from UKAD’s intelligence-led testing programme and for ensuring that the testing programme and analysis of samples operate in accordance with the International Standards, Doping Control Personnel Handbook and Laboratory Services Agreement.
The Results Officer will be responsible for processing Whereabouts Failures in accordance with the International Standard for Results Management. You will also support the Head of Results and Results Manager in respect of other team objectives, including UKAD’s strategy for the long-term storage and reanalysis of samples.
Key result areas include
Lead on the identification and timely processing of Missed Tests and Filing Failures (for both NRTP and DTP athletes), including responsibility for accuracy of data within ADAMS database
Contribute to the implementation and utilisation of the paperless system for Doping Control, including coordination with laboratory staff and verification of data
Lead on monitoring of laboratory to ensure costs are reconciled against samples collected and analysed
Conduct quality assurance on all test outcomes, to ensure compliance with DCP Handbook. Log non-conformances and provide positive and constructive feedback to DCP
Monitoring samples collected and liaison with laboratory staff to ensure continuity in laboratory operations – this includes providing the laboratory with analysis requirements and resolving issues and anomalies
Maintain and ensure the accuracy of internal monitoring systems, procedures and the ADAMS database to enable UK Anti-Doping to report accurately internally and externally
Sharing essential information to internal teams and relevant documentation with external organisations.
Tracking sample shipments and triggering follow-up investigations for delays.
Support delivery of UKAD’s strategy for the long-term storage and reanalysis of samples
Person specification
Experience/knowledge/skills
Demonstrable experience of working within a process driven environment and responding to complex client correspondence
Experience of processing data and presenting complex issues to a variety of audiences
Experience of handling sensitive and confidential information
Experience of Integrating and understanding databases
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to communicate effectively by letter and phone to people at all levels of understanding
Excellent attention to detail
An organised and methodical approach to work with the ability to cope with consistently demanding workloads and tight deadlines
Ability to use initiative and judgement, with a pro-active approach to problem solving
Full competence in the use of MS Office including advanced level Microsoft Excel knowledge
