Through consolidating these functions under one roof, we provide consistent, cross-functional support to create the critical foundations required for any thriving startup, VC or corporate looking to do things a little differently.
Our growth has been exponential over the past 9 years and we are looking to continue developing our strategic and innovative accounting offering by adding a talented senior lawyer to our team.

Your role at LUNA.
Bringing your vision and experience to turn our ambitions into reality - this pivotal role will see you working closely with the early stage team to help build our vision of becoming the best place to launch and grow a startup in Australia. You will work closely with senior lawyers, accountants and the team lead to help bring this vision to life by servicing Australia’s best up and coming startups on everything from general commercial to early stage investments.

Position Requirements. Your background is less important than your superpowers and strengths, but here are some things we are looking for: Essential skills - you should apply if you have:
An LLB or JD gained from an Australian, or an international university, with at least 2 years of post qualified legal experience.
Enthusiasm and openness to challenges and non-conventional ways of working with clients and colleagues.
A good foundation in a relevant area working across general commercial matters and/or transactions
Experience working across general corporate matters - including corporate governance and structuring
A track record of managing and running several client matters simultaneously
Strong drafting skills and a high standard of work presentation across a suite of early stage startup needs, including Shareholder Agreements, Customer Agreements, Employee/Contractor Agreements and SaaS Agreements
It would be an added bonus if you have any of the following in your toolkit (but these aren’t essential):
Have experience across a suite of early stage startup needs, including Shareholder Agreements, Customer Agreements, Employee/Contractor Agreements and SaaS Agreements
Have started your own business or have experience working in a startup or VC.
Understanding or experience in:
Data, AI + Tech
Startup Capital Raising
You have experience collaborating with accountants, tax advisors and/or software engineers to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients.
Your role at LUNA
Legal Service Delivery - delivering high quality, commercially sound legal documents and advice that is tailored to the startup world, including:
General Commercial - the whole suite of BAU-style contracting, including SaaS and technology licencing.
Structuring Advice - set up and governance of early stage companies;
Venture Investment - we’re talking everything from SAFEs and convertible notes, venture debt, equity crowdfunding through to Series A raises;
Employee Incentives - including ESOPs and bonus plans
BD - we don’t see rain making as something that is just for “Partners” — it’s a core skill for any entrepreneur and that’s exactly how we see all of our team: entrepreneurial in spirit and attitude. This might mean attending and representing LUNA at startup events or taking clients out for coffee but we will let you dictate how you approach BD.
Impact — we want you to have an impact beyond our investment and legal services. This means contributing to panel discussions, running workshops and ideation sessions, writing up helpful articles and blog posts and using tech to build out new products. It also might mean getting involved in one of our various committees or passion projects. We want you to have an impact that is authentic and fulfilling.
