Main purpose of job

This job sits within the Digital Communications and Campaigns team at London Councils and offers you great experience working in an inclusive organisation focused on delivering the best outcomes for Londoners.

To be successful at this job, you will be required to:

  • Support the delivery of our events, publications, social media and website content.

  • Work as part of the Digital and Campaigns team to plan and deliver London Councils’ campaigns.

  • Create engaging content on various channels, including social media, website and other publications and digital products.

  • Support the collection and analysis of data to monitor the impact of communications activities.

Job activities

Campaigns

  • Work with the Head of Digital Communications and other members of the communications team to deliver campaigns which highlight London Councils’ policy positions to key stakeholders.

  • Develop content for London Councils’ social media channels specifically Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

  • Support the collection and analysis of data to monitor the impact of communications activities.

Events and stakeholder engagement

  • Assist in the development, administration and marketing of an annual programme of events, conferences and seminars (online, hybrid and in-person).

Internal communications

  • Support the publishing manager to write and edit the weekly staff newsletter, encouraging staff from across the organisation to contribute.

  • Encourage and enable staff across the organisation to create digital content.

  • Work with the Climate Communications Lead/Officer to promote LC’s climate work internally.

Administration

  • Obtain quotes and administer orders, invoices and financial processes in accordance with London Councils financial processes and regulations.

  • To carry out administrative tasks for the communications team.

  • To carry out any other duties appropriate to the post.
