Bringing your vision and experience to turn our accounting advisory goals into reality, this pivotal role will see you working closely with Josh Sharma and the early stage startups team to amplify our vision, help in building the team expertise from bookkeeping to VCFO, and deliver exceptional client experiences.

Essential skills - you should apply if you:

• Have 5 years of experience in a Chartered Accounting or consulting environment (remember, at LUNA we DON’T HAVE TIMESHEETS!). 

• Experience providing broader business advisory services (e.g. virtual CFO, financial modelling, new tech implementation, bookkeeping, etc.)

• Know your way around XERO, including payroll and reporting features.

• Are organised and have proven ability to manage multiple clients at a time.

• Love using new technology and have a genuine passion for learning everyday.

• Have solid communication skills (written and in person) and you’re generally a good person to be around!

It would be an added bonus if you have any of the following in your toolkit:

• Have worked with  G-suite and Google products, Hubspot, Dext, Asana and Slack.

• Experience advising early stage tech companies 

• Understand the basics of SME tax compliance

• Business development and /or sales experience; 

• Facilitation and/or presenting;

• You have experience working with financial reporting softwares like Fathom, Jirav or Syft.

• You have completed, started or have aspirations to complete your CA or CPA qualification.

• You have experience collaborating with lawyers, tax advisors and / or software engineers to deliver outcomes for clients.

Your role at LUNA: 

E.g Service Delivery - providing end to end advisory services and accounting support tailored to the most exciting startups and venture capital funds in Australia with a focus on:

• Accounting structure setup for new businesses 

• End to end Bookkeepping

• Financial reporting and cashflow projections 

• Proactivelly anticipate client needs and implement solutions accordingly. 
  

Build & Motivate LUNA's Early Stage Team — we want you to play an integral role in building and motivating our early stage team, focussed on our accounting practice. Alongside our Josh Sharma and Silvina Hausheer, you will be helping us build, you will help us build systems and processes for new and existing clients, as well as to train and motivate our team. 

BD - we don’t see rain making as something that is just for “Partners” — it’s a core skill for any entrepreneur and that’s exactly how we see all of our team: entrepreneurial in spirit and attitude. This might mean attending and representing LUNA at startup events or taking clients out for coffee but we will let you dictate how you approach BD. Building a BD strategy for the growing early stage accounting pipeline will be a key focus of this role.  

Impact — we want you to have an impact beyond our accounting services. This means presenting to accelerator programs and founders, writing up helpful articles and blog posts and using tech to build out new accounting products. It also might mean getting involved in one of our various committees or passion projects. We want you to have an impact that is authentic and fulfilling.
