Summary of role

We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Director to support our growing Net Zero service offerings. Your focus will be on the innovative management of companies’ carbon emissions.  The role will require extensive technical analytical expertise and is client-facing. You will own key clients and projects, overseeing a team that is undertaking often complex corporate GHG inventories and establishing science-based and net-zero targets grounded in climate action plans that drive emissions reductions across internal operations and the value chain. You will be working closely with parallel Net Zero teams that focus on different target clients (e.g. cities) and technical areas (e.g. product footprinting)

Your projects and clients will span multiple industries, ranging from FTSE 100 companies to boutique brands, and require engagement with clients, and their suppliers, around the world.

Your role will include providing Technical and People Leadership, co-leading our carbon strategy & analytics team.

Requirements:

  • Senior-level experience in delivering carbon analytics, either in-house or in a consultancy environment.

  • Deep understanding of, and substantive experience in applying GHG inventory and target setting standards, especially GHG Protocol and SBTi.

  • Solid experience of using and promoting advanced data science and digital solutions to enable pioneering carbon analytics. This may include experience of tools such as Alteryx and Tableau/Power BI, as well as client-facing calculation and targeting tools.

  • Professional presence with the ability to quickly establish personal credibility and demonstrate expertise, often engaging a C-suite level

  • Build expertise in the team through mentoring and training

  • Strong communication and consulting skills

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to a dynamic, fast moving and changing work environment

  • Able to work on virtual teams across different time zones
