Job title: Marketing Assistant, National Art Pass

Reports to: Recruitment Marketing Manager

Responsible for: Supporting the planning and delivery of marketing activity to drive awareness, engagement and conversion for Art Fund’s membership, the National Art Pass.

Working pattern: hybrid, minimum 2 days in office in London

1. About my role

We’re looking for someone to support the planning and delivery of marketing activity to drive overall growth for The National Art Pass. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the membership team at one of the UK’s leading arts organisations and support Art Fund’s mission to share great art and culture.

You’ll play a key role in the delivery of multi-channel campaigns across paid, owned, and earned media - from briefing stand-out creative assets and engaging email journeys, right the way through to analysing and reporting on results. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised and collaborative, with experience in a results-driven marketing environment.

3. Key accountabilities

Campaign planning and implementation

Work with the Marketing Manager to plan, implement and deliver nationwide marketing campaigns to promote the National Art Pass – collaborate with media and creative agencies (and other third parties) to ensure campaigns are delivered to schedule. Liaise with internal stakeholders to seek approvals on deliverables. Undertake a range of tasks including conducting research, writing briefs, obtaining quotes, drafting copy, reviewing proofs, updating webpages, and overall ensuring high-quality and accurate deliverables.

Creative asset delivery

Assist in briefing and project-managing the delivery of creative marketing assets, from print materials to social influencers ads, that reflect the Art Fund's visual brand identity and clearly communicates its proposition to diverse audiences - ensuring creative work is delivered on schedule. Work in close collaboration with the Design team to gain image permissions and seek relevant approvals from stakeholders as needed.

Email and marketing automation

Help plan and deliver email communications, working to improve customer journeys, nurture leads and drive new membership sales. Ensure all communications are delivered on schedule with regular reporting on results. Identify areas for improvement and initiate optimisations.

Reporting and measurement

Evaluate the effectiveness of campaign activities against defined KPIs through systematic testing and the use of analytics tools. Work with the Marketing Manager, Digital Experience team and external suppliers to make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement to website conversion rates as well as enhancements to targeting and creative approaches.

Digital experience

Help improve the overall recruitment experience for prospective members by collaborating with the Digital Experience team to help improve landing page and checkout experiences. Work with Content team to identify and brief content requirements for the acquisition customer journey, including listicles and articles to also use in email comms. Work with the Social Media Manager to deliver organic social campaigns for the National Art Pass. Provide assistance in testing digital developments around the member experience and work with appropriate teams or suppliers on improvements and fixes.

Innovation

Regularly contribute ideas for new promotions, content, and ways to improve membership growth based on research, audience insights, and results.

Other:

4. About me

Knowledge

Experience of working as part of a busy, results-focussed marketing team.

Some experience of working and liaising with external suppliers, partners or third-party organisations.

Experience of working in museum and gallery sector

Skills

Highly competent at using MS Office programmes

Knowledge of email marketing systems or similar digital marketing communication platforms

Knowledge of online and offline marketing practices

Some knowledge of breadth of UK museums and galleries

Familiar with Google Analytics or other web analytics tools

Familiarity with creating utms and trackable website urls

Familiarity with CRM systems in a marketing context (ex. create segments for email comms)

Experience

Acute attention to detail

Excellent copywriting and editing skills with the ability to produce high quality, creative and effective marketing material

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise accordingly

Ability to work under pressure and to deliver to deadlines

Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels, both internally and externally, while demonstrating professionalism

Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

Good negotiation and influencing skills

Experience working with external media and creative agencies to deliver marketing activity across a variety of channels

Experience briefing design teams to deliver creative assets
