Job Description

Project Description:

  • AstroAgency is offering an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the space sector and experience in promotional communications. Under the guidance of our Senior Account Manager, the successful applicant will lead the creation of a database of events & media, including conferences, podcasts and awards, for the space industry and cross-sector application areas to grow the number of promotional channels that can be accessed by our 50+ clients. We seek an individual with good research skills that is looking to build their experience in communicating across a diverse range of stakeholders, with a passion for sharing the benefits of space technology and data to life on Earth; our economy, environment and society at large.

Applicant Specification:

  • Background in Marketing and Communications, Events Management, Business Management, or related fields. Alternatively, relevant experience in a similar role, including volunteering positions

    Minimum requirements:

  • Passion and enthusiasm

  • Excellent research and analytical skills

  • Proficient in the use of Google Suite and spreadsheet software (such as Excel, Google Sheets and OpenOffice) 

  • Strong communication skills adaptable to various target audiences

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and effectively manage multiple responsibilities concurrently 

  • Capable of adapting quickly to new technology or software specific to space communications landscape

  • Initiative to discover and communicate innovative ways to engage with stakeholders

  • Demonstrable interest in space, aviation, aerospace or related technological sectors

Desirable requirements:

  • Previous marketing experience, including involvement in university societies, student unions and related projects 

  • Experience working with project management software Process details:

    8 weeks minimum fixed term contract to be agreed with successful candidate

    5 days holiday to be taken during the placement
