Job Description
An exiting opportunity has arisen for a part time Public Health and Engagement Officer to join the Community Health Team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity in the Western Sovereign Base Area, Cyprus.
About the role
The Public Health and Engagement Officer will Support the Public Health and Engagement Manager in managing and delivering projects and Quality improvement works across the Community Healthcare service.
This role is pivotal in leading and implementing service improvement and engagement strategy projects.
The successful candidate will ensure that project milestones are monitored, plans are updated, evaluation frameworks are in place, and risks are identified and managed. The post holder will also be responsible for monitoring and creating social media content for the community health service.
You will be joining at an exciting time as we welcome a new Public Health and Engagement Manager who is seeking a dynamic and innovative officer to work together on ensuring the public health agenda is strong and meets service and staff needs globally.
About the team
There are 3 SSAFA locality Community Health teams in Cyprus, each team consist of Midwives, Health Visitors, School Nurses, Community Children’s Nurses, CAMHS, Dietitian and Speech and Language Therapists. The Community Health Service is supported by a Child Consultant Psychiatrist and a Community Paediatrician who provide a peripatetic visiting service from the UK. We also offer public health support to our far commands form mainland Europe, Canada, to Brunei .
This role works in partnership with colleagues in each locality to ensure that the public health and SSAFA brand messages are consistent whilst customised to support local differences.
About you
You should have proven experience in business support ideally with service improvement or project experience, preferably within a public health or community health setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role as you will be working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across the service.
You will have a strong attention to detail with experience of producing professional documents to a high standard.
You will also have excellent organisational and data management skills alongside being proficient in Canva and managing social media communications.
