Expressions of Interest
Institute for Government
- Closing: 11:00am, 30th Sep 2024 BST
Job Description
This is a period of transition in UK politics and government. In the wake of the general election, many people who have been working in this space – in government, in parliament, for political parties or for associated organisations – are thinking about their next career move, and may be considering making a change. In many cases, these are people who have experience, knowledge and skills which are highly relevant to the IfG’s work on government effectiveness.
We want to take this opportunity to further strengthen our research team and are inviting expressions of interest from anyone with recent experience working in UK government and/or politics who would like to join us at the IfG.
This is not a standard recruitment round in which we would be seeking to fill a specific vacancy. Instead, we are looking to capture interest in working with us from people with the experience indicated above, and to review how individual candidates could support or augment our existing expertise and ability to have impact in our work.
We currently expect to make 1-2 appointments on the basis of this exercise, but this may change depending on the candidate pool.
