The Newton Fellowship Program helps you accelerate your venture capital career. If you have a few years of venture capital or closely-aligned experience under your belt and are looking to get to the next level in your career, this program is for you.

The opportunity

  • 3 modules x 3 days each, delivered over 6 months. Additional online sessions between modules.

Apart from growing in your technical knowledge of venture capital, you will also grow in your personal leadership through receiving coaching, as well as, through exercises such as creating your Fellows Vision, outlining how you envision your future in the venture ecosystem.

Your role

The Newton Fellowship Program is ideal for Senior Associates and Principals, Junior Partners, new General Partners, experienced entrepreneurs and operators with significant exposure to venture capital, and deep subject matter experts such as Tech Transfer Officers. The Newton Fellowship is a good fit for you if you are keen to advance your career, expand your perspectives, and develop your personal vision. As a Newton Fellow, you are expected to:

  • Prioritise the time and energy needed to fully immerse yourself in the three modules and additional virtual sessions spread over six months.

  • Participate with commitment in both solo and group activities, and be a contributor in interactive sessions.

  • Complete inter-modular activities and exercises, which are critical for both your learning and that of your peers.

  • Go on to become an engaged member of the global Newton Alumni community.

We are looking for interest and motivation to pursue a long-term career as a venture capital professional. We are particularly keen to hear from you if you are an applicant from an overlooked and underestimated background. 

Please note: The Fellowship program is aimed at those with minimum 3 years of experience as an investor working at an investment firm or technology transfer office. OR A minimum 5 years of experience working in the startup ecosystem, as a founder or operator with significant exposure to venture capital. 

If you haven’t yet reached this level of experience, our Fundamentals Program may be a better fit for you. Please write to us if you are unsure about which program is best-suited to you.

Key details

  • Module 1 dates: Wednesday 24 April to Friday 26 April 2024

  • Module 2 dates: Wednesday 17 July to Friday 19 July 2024

  • Module 3 dates: Wednesday 16 October to Friday 18 October 2024 (Note: Dates and locations are subject to change)

  • Interviews will be held between Monday 29 January and Wednesday 7 February 2024

  • Successful applicants will be informed by Friday 9 February 2024.

  • Cost of the program is £9,950 + VAT. 

  • On successful application to the program, payment for the Fellowship must be paid by Monday 18 March 2024 to secure your place on the program.

Scholarships & Employer Sponsorship
