Role outline and purpose

The New Partnerships Manager will be responsible for working within our fast-growing Corporate Partnerships Team to secure pioneering, high value corporate partnerships with like-minded businesses, to generate income and engage new audiences for the Trussell Trust to achieve our vision of a UK without the need for food banks.

Role Responsibilities

·         Build cases for support to engage funders. This will involve working with the Corporate Partnerships Team and wider organisation to build compelling cases for support for a variety of corporate partnerships, including shared value partnerships, charity of the year’s, Cause Related Marketing campaigns (CRM) and sponsorship opportunities.

·         Identify corporate partnership opportunities. This will involve conducting research to manage and grow a pipeline of corporate partnerships opportunities worth £100k+ and/or with significant media and communications value.

·         Develop cultivation plans for key prospects and target industries to increase support for the Trussell Trust.

·         Proactively approach and build new relationships with corporates, securing and attending meetings.

·         Develop and deliver high quality communications to secure new corporate partnerships. For example, this could include brochures, proposals, and pitches which communicate the charity’s work, strategy, and a case for why companies should support the Trussell Trust.

·         Work collaboratively with Corporate Partnerships team to embed new partnerships to ensure they are managed appropriately.

Person Specification

Technical skills and minimum knowledge:

·         Experience of new business, ideally in a corporate fundraising environment to generate new income streams and new business relationships.

·         An effective communicator, verbally and in writing, who’s diplomatic and displays good interpersonal skills.

·         High level of numeracy, IT literacy and competence.

·         Strong project management and planning skills.

·         Use of Salesforce or a similar cloud-based software tool.
