POSITION SUMMARY The Post Processing Lead will be responsible for the day to day oversight of Post Processing, performing routine tasks in all Post Processing areas after formal training on department-specific operating procedures. Working with direction from the Cultivation Manager, the Post Processing Lead will perform waste disposal, trimming, inspecting crops, sorting crops, quality control, overseeing dry/cure and inventory management within trim, dry, and cure. 

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Train new team members to perform routine tasks in all Post Processing areas

  • Assign tasks to team members

  • Perform all routine tasks in Post Processing areas

  • Create and edit departmental SOPs

  • Responsible for SOP compliance

  • Build schedules and plans with oversight from the Cultivation Manager

  • Solve problems and production disruptions

  • Assists and recommends in personnel management and corrective action with oversight from Cultivation Manager, Director, and HR in accordance with performance management policies

  • Continuously clean, sanitize, and organize your work space and machinery

  • Fill out detailed logs and forms for machinery processes and maintenance.

  • Have a high attention to detail and ability to focus on complex & sensitive processes.

  • Stand for long periods of time, walk, reach with hands and arms, as well as consistently lift 10-20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

  • Work seated and standing for extended periods of time on concrete floors, maintaining body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and using your hands to hold, grasp, turn, pick, and pinch to complete tasks

  • Communicate with peers and management clearly, with kindness and respect


QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least one year of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of cannabis Post Processing techniques

  • Safety, compliance and regulatory understanding

  • Experience with quality control procedures

  • Leadership and time management skills

  • Problem solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Flexibility and adaptability necessary to succeed in a growing startup environment
