Job Description

The Green Party of England and Wales is recruiting a Campaign Organiser to help deliver an ambitious and successful campaign programme in The Wirral in preparation for the Local Elections all out elections in May 2027.

We have been winning elections in the Wirral since 2014 and currently have the joint second largest group on the council with 14 councillors. We are now campaigning in over half the council wards across Wirral including all of the Birkenhead constituency where we came a strong second to Labour in general election 2024. Our members have agreed an ambitious strategy for both the local elections in 2027 and the next parliamentary elections too. Our capacity building has reflected that ambition. We now need a talented, driven and organised individual to help us scale up even more.

Working closely with local campaign teams, volunteers, candidates and elected representatives, the postholder will play a key role in building campaign capacity, coordinating volunteers and supporting the delivery of effective local election campaigns. Through strong organisation, relationship building and practical campaign support, the role will help turn local enthusiasm into well-planned, high-impact campaigning activity.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by achieving tangible results. The successful candidate will be proactive, well organised and able to build positive relationships with a wide range of volunteers and stakeholders, helping to create an engaged and effective campaigning community across the Wirral.

We welcome applications from individuals with a broad range of backgrounds and experiences. Previous employment within party politics is not essential; we recognise that opportunities to gain professional political campaigning experience are limited and encourage applications from people who can demonstrate the skills, behaviours and commitment required to succeed in the role.

We are particularly keen to hear from people from backgrounds that remain underrepresented in politics.

Application process

Applications to be submitted by Tuesday 11am on 06 October 2026. Interviews are planned to be held week commencing 12th October 2026. If you wish to discuss this role, please contact Daniella Radice (Local Elections Manager), at Daniella.radice@greenparty.org.uk

Please note that the Applied recruitment system is configured to ask a series of questions that will support shortlisting for this role. Each question is based on one or more of the attributes listed in the person specification below and your answers will be scored based on how you demonstrate the attribute(s) that are relevant to the specific question being asked.
