As our Fractional People Director and a member of our Executive Team, you’ll play a vital role in shaping and driving our People strategy. You’ll support us to attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering a high-performance, highly engaged culture.

What you will do:

Strategic HR Leadership: 

  • Develop, implement and track delivery of our People strategy, aligned with our vision, mission and financial goals.  We aim to foster a high performance, high engagement culture as we drive to realise our ambitious goals. Our People strategy will be designed to be relevant for both our salaried & our hourly team members.  

  • Develop and lead our approach on talent management, ensuring talent at Little Moons realises the benefit of working in a fast paced, highly collaborative SME environment with growth and development.  

  • Contribute to Little Moons’ Sustainability strategy & B Corp journey through our ‘Growth with Integrity’ pillar.  

Talent Management:  

  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent across our business for our Supporters and Movers & Makers  

  • Develop our plan to become the Employer of choice for Food Manufacturing in London to ensure we’re able to attract and retain top talent in our manufacturing sites (Little HQ & Unit 3)  

  • Support our Operations with a People & workforce strategy that contributes to our business objective to transform the efficiency of our factory  

  • Lead talent calibration with the Executive team & support on development plans for high potential talent  

  • Manage, coach and support the People team to ensure they realise their full potential and maximise their positive impact for the business  

Employee Engagement & Culture:  

  • Ensure each site is a safe place to work and enables people to make the highest quality products  

  • Lead our annual Engagement programme, including deployment of the GPTW survey, with a focus on Company and functional insight & action planning sessions  

  • Partner with the JEDI culture champions on our programme to promote a diverse, inclusive & equitable workplace and with the Values culture champions on our programme to promote our Company values  

  • Ensure we have an effective Works Council in our manufacturing sites  

  • Continue to drive adoption of Insights as the tool to drive personal development, team effectiveness and cross functional collaboration  

  • Develop & manage internal communications ensuring strong understanding of our Company goals, business strategy and financial performance, building confidence in our performance & trust in our Executive team.  

Performance Management (OKRs) & Development:  

  • Lead the implementation & adoption of our performance management framework (OKRs and quarterly Performance Management cycle utilising the Lattice platform & analytics capabilities).  

  • Develop function-specific learning and development programs to support on technical upskilling and line management capability for Supporters and Movers & Makers  

HR Operations & Compliance:  

  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with employment laws (UK & European), our B Corp commitments and ‘Growth with Integrity’ strategy and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.  

  • Partner with the Executive Team to ensure headcount targets are realised and the Wages & Salary budget is adhered to.  

  • Drive continuous improvement of Little Moons’ HR processes, payroll & systems, ensuring all people processes run efficiently and to a high standard so we are brilliant at the basics  

  • Responsible for employee data governance & compliance, ensuring accurate collection, storage and protection in compliance with data privacy regulations  

  • Oversee HR information systems (PeopleHR Access, BeApplied), ensuring platforms are cost efficient & meet data protection and cyber security requirements  

  • Oversee payroll and benefits offering for Movers & Makers and Supporters  

  • Manage employee relations processes effectively  

  • Manage the People Budget (learning & development, recruitment, systems) with a cost management mindset ensuring high quality & accurate forecasting  

  • Contribute to the Brighter Future Sustainability Strategy and company's linked OKRs, supporting your function and your direct reports to contribute too. 

About You 

  • Proven experience in a senior People/HR leadership role, ideally within a high-growth or fast-paced environment, with strong strategic and hands-on HR expertise 

  • Experience working in or with SME environments as part of the Executive team, demonstrating agility, problem-solving, and the ability to influence at all levels 

  • Passion for fostering a purpose-driven, high-performance & high-engagement culture in line with B Corp principles  

  • Experience managing HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and HR systems, ensuring efficiency and compliance and a strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices, with experience ensuring compliance in a dynamic environment. 

  • Effective People team leadership, able to empower a small and mighty team, fostering growth, development, and collaboration. You’ll provide the guidance and mentorship needed to strengthen our collective expertise while ensuring we continue to deliver and evolve our People strategy in line with our business mission.
