 Reports To: Chief Strategy Officer

Exempt Status: Salaried, Exempt

Commitment Type: Full-time, On-going

Work Environment: Hybrid, 2-3 days a week in office

Base of Operations: 1501 W Anderson Lane, Building B-1, Austin, Texas 78757

 Description: Under the supervision of the CSO (Chief Strategy Officer), the Evaluation Principal leads efforts to evaluate 1) effectiveness of programs in three strategic program initiatives to eradicate child sexual abuse in Texas and 2) effectiveness of business infrastructure activities. The Evaluation Principal is responsible for developing evaluation plans and analyzing and interpreting data that measure our progress.

 Essential Job Functions:

●       Work with key internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive strategic evaluation plan that identifies and prioritizes evaluation activities to be completed to support the vision (program and organization) of CACTX

●       Work with key stakeholders to develop and implement individual evaluation plans for prioritized program areas (prevent, detect, respond) and overall organizational business infrastructure areas.
●       Ensure that evaluation activities are complementary to state data collection methods.

●       Lead efforts to determine how CACTX will measure progress toward the vision, such as:

●       Refine CACTX’s Theory of Change

●       Develop and refine ECSA indicators,

●       Determine methods to measure indicators, and

●       Develop logic models to measure the organization’s programs.

●       Develop and refine dashboards related to CACTX Key Performance Indicators and organizational goals, including, but not limited to:

●       ECSA in Texas

●       ECSA strategic program initiatives

●       Business infrastructure

●       Implement data collection methodology including, but not limited to, statewide data monitoring, survey collection, and pilot group oversight. 

●       Collect and interpret data that measures progress toward the vision and business infrastructure.

●       Work with internal technology team to assess best platform and/or system to collect data and support technology team in building out chosen platform and/or system.

●       Present data and findings internally and externally.

●       Work amongst the organization’s leadership to advise, consult, problem solve, and plan.

Required Qualifications

●       10 years’ experience in program evaluation design and implementation.

●       5 years’ experience in child welfare, criminal justice, education, social work, health equity, or a related field.

●       Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to distill complex information concisely.

●       Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

●       Skill in working and connecting with a diverse group of colleagues and partners.

●       Ability to oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, work independently under tight deadlines, prioritize responsibilities, and identify and resolve conflict in a timely and appropriate manner.

●       Candidates must reside in Texas and have reliable transportation with the ability to travel to Austin, TX as needed. We have invested in technology, facilities, and infrastructure to allow staff to have the flexibility to work remotely but also have a collaborative physical office space that fosters connectivity.

●       Must have reliable and effective internet connectivity to fulfill job duties remotely.

Preferred Qualifications

●       Graduate degree in Public Health, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Education, or a closely related field.

●       Experience working within child protection, law enforcement, prosecution, or children’s advocacy center (CAC) settings.
