Co-op Student: Data Analyst, Commodity Marketing 

4 or 8-Month Term Starting May 2024

Our marketing co-op position will provide you with an opportunity to work alongside industry professionals, receive one-on-one mentorship, and apply your academic experience in a meaningful way while growing and developing your skills and contributing to our U.S. and Canadian commodity marketing teams.  

 

Opportunity details are as follows: 

Term length: 8 months strongly preferred, would consider 4 months 

Term start:  May 2024 

Job location:  Calgary, Alberta 

Shift schedule:  5 days/week (Monday – Friday), 8 hours/day 

Hybrid Availability: Yes 

Safety sensitive position:  No 

 

What you will do: 

  • Develop Excel spreadsheets and PowerBI dashboards to assist the marketing group in visualizing and communicating complex datasets   

  • Analyze pipeline infrastructure and build basin netback pricing models   

  • Consolidate and analyze historical midstream pricing and production data  

  • Coordinate legacy file migration to electronic management system with the IT department  

  • Support marketing group with process automation 

 

What You Bring to The Role: 

  • Minimum of one-year completed in a post-secondary commerce, engineering, or computer science undergraduate degree program. 

  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or other SQL platforms is considered an asset.  

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point. 

  • Willingness to learn new technology and a commitment to innovative thinking.  

  • Self-starter with strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
